Special Clinic Safety Protocols

If you are experiencing acute respiratory symptoms: Please wear a mask at all times, in the waiting room and in the treatment room, until you can consult with Elyse.

Face masks are optional (if not experiencing acute respiratory symptoms): Elyse will wear a mask upon request or if in the presence of clients with respiratory infections. She prefers others also wear a mask if experiencing acute upper respiratory symptoms. Outside of these occasions, individuals decide if they would like to remain masked or not. Please bring your own face mask to wear at the clinic. KN95 and KF94 are the safest masks available at this time (sites to purchase from listed below).

Wear loose comfortable clothing: You will remain clothed during the treatment. Please wear clothes that can easily be lifted up to above the elbows/knees, and unbuttoned from the front or slid up or down your torso.

Payment digitally or by check: After your appointment, I will email you an invoice with the total balance and you can choose to pay by Venmo (@ClassicalAcupunctureNC), leave a check at the check writing station, or mail a check. Upon request, we can keep a credit card on file to charge after each appointment (3% fee).

Other precautions being taken: Medical grade air purifiers in the waiting room and each treatment room (treatment room air is completely cleaned/recycled every 12 mintues); Individual treatment rooms are empty for one hour between clients while the air purifier runs; Air purification with anti-viral essential oils in the common areas; Fresh air flow through open windows when the weather is nice; All consultation occurs in the treatment rooms; Disinfecting surfaces.

If you would like to purchase a KN95 or KF94 mask, these are trusted suppliers: Lhasa OMS, Be Healthy (Bluna, Blue, and BOTN brands are said to be highly recommended)

Healthy Mind, Healthy Body

Most importantly, focus on how healthy you are and that there’s a 98% survival rate, rather than 2% death rate. That isn’t to minimize the public health concerns; just a recognition that your perception has a significant impact on your health. Covid-19 has brought up contemplations on life and death. We all have a profound opportunity to see more clearly what is important to us (and humanity) and what brings value to our life. This phenomena forces us to reevaluate. It is our duty to listen with an open heart to what, for our own self, supports openness, trust, peacefulness, balance, and what disturbs it, what constricts with panic and fear. The more open and creative we are, the more we can adapt and respond as needed to challenges.

“All illnesses are rooted in the spirit” (Chapter 8, Ling Shu), and therefore all healing is rooted in the spirit (Jeffrey Yuen). So feed your conscious with positive stories of healing and recovery and focus on what you can do for yourself. Use your energy to engage in things that develop your faith, trust, openness, creativity, and positive uplifted mind. As you cultivate these qualities, you hold the space for others to do the same. Together we become stronger. Following are some other tangible ways to support healthy immunity.
